Here is one of the mystery colors in the rainbow palette of Carder Steuben. A true jade in that it is not cased but a solid and the color of a copper blue like Celeste. An alternative name could be Celeste Blue Jade, or Medium Blue Jade, or someone had called it "God Awful Blue" because they did not like the color, but who is to know what it was really called or how much was ever made. Pieces seem to pop up on the west coast and only in a few shapes (6030, 6031, 7307). There is documentation in the sections on 6030 vases that indicate a Blue Jade vase was sold, but it cost less than the transparent crystals. Could this be that blue jade? And if it cost less than the transprent crystals they must have really wanted to ger rid of it.
