Bristol Yellow

    Like a bright warm glowing yellow sun, Bristol Yellow stands out in the crowd of Carder Colors.  It can be found in most every form, including vases, candlesticks, compotes and bowls. Its brilliance is especially shown in its heavy cut pieces.  It was used in combination with several colors, including French Blue, Crystal, Pomona Green, and Amethyst.  It was often decorated with reeding, with one of the most popular being black, but can be also found reeded with White.  It was also used as reeding over itself in bubbly glass and over Pomona Green. One of the more interesting uses is as the reeding on diamond optic Persian Blue, and almost always found in combination together. It seems that the reeding was unstable and most pieces have some of the reeding missing or cracked.
