Aquarmarine and Verre de Soie are similar in appearance, but different in color. Verre de Soie is colorless transparent crystal with a silk like matte finish. Aquamarine has the silk like matte finish, but the glass has a slight green hue to it. The easiest way to tell if the piece is aquamarine or verre de soie is to hold the thickest piece of the glass up to a bright light to see the greenish cast to it.
