Carder Steuben alabaster is a white, semi-opaque glass that is relatively free of bubbles. There is often confusion with the Stevens & Williams glass known as clambroth (and sometimes also known as alabaster) but the Stevens & Williams color is more dull, grey or "washed out" than its Steuben counterpart. Additionally, the Stevens & Williams glass has a more grainy, "bubbly" texture.
